Eagle Times: Rolling Out Nutrition

Prescott and his AdVenture Capital Project, “Grab N Go Breakfast Cart,” were featured in the Eagle Times recently as he and his Fuel Up to Play 60 team launched their new Grab N Go breakfast in their New Hampshire high school.

The new Grab-N-Go Cart has been made possible by funding from the New England Dairy & Food Council & through the Domino’s Transformation Experience powered by AdVenture Capital.

The breakfast cart will help to provide students with fresh fruit and yogurt smoothies as well as hot breakfast sandwiches and yogurt parfaits. In addition to securing FUTP 60 and AdCap funding, Prescott and the Student Voice Club approached local businesses to secure their support in creating healthy, nutritious meals at the High School. Several area businesses have elected to help fund free smoothie days for students.

Prescott shares, “It’s amazing to see all of the hard work we’ve put in pay off. You can make a difference inside of your school. This project was built on nutrition. We constantly hear students say they just don’t have time for healthy food at the start of their day. And in the first block of classes at this school, everyone looks like zombies. Having this new Breakfast Cart will give every student equal chance at great nutrition.”

With the implementation of the Grab-N-Go Breakfast Cart and the addition of smoothies to the breakfast menu, Prescott and his team want to increase the appeal and accessibility of breakfast to high school students, making it easier for them to start their academic day off right.

Congratulations to Prescott and his team for helping to bring their big ideas to life! Click here to read the Eagle Times article, and stay tuned for more updates!
